Heidfeld has joined the early lookers unsure if he’s going to drive for BMW Sauber next year.
“I am talking with several teams — not just BMW,”
Although having fairly successful career so far, Nick hasn’t achieved a win yet although he’s been able to steal podiums just when you think he’s down and out. This season, fighting a very difficult car he’s again been on the podium and is ahead of Robert Kubica in points.

Nick Heidfeld May be Becoming a Wet Weather Specialist

Nick Heidfeld sure isn’t new to criticism about his driving skills and last season rumors of him losing his drive in F1 all together were swirling around. I have always been an advocate for Heidfeld and continue to be. Last season I saw qualifying problems for an important part of the season that he managed his way out of. What I fail to understand is all of the negativity surrounding Nick when he put up a truck load of points, stood on the podium, was part of the BMW Sauber 1-2 finish in Canada and set fastest laps of races.

Is Nick Heidfeld Championship Material?
Posted by: | CommentsIs Nick Heidfeld capable of winning the F1 drivers championship in 2009? Take a look at the standings in 2007 and then in 2008. 2007 saw BMW Sauber finishing over 100 points behind Ferrari, but in 2008 the gap was less than 40. Together Heidfeld and Kubica racked up 11 podium finishes and one win, but that win was a 1-2 finish in Montreal. Now, if the team didn’t pull back on their development for 2008 where would they have finished?
BMW Sauber Drivers New 2009 Helmets
Posted by: | CommentsNew car, new season, new rules, so new helmets. Nick Heidfeld goes green with a little more grit he says and no other driver has green. Robert stays red with pretty much the same helmet as last year so far anyway.
Nick Heidfeld
“I took my inspiration from a snowboard helmet that I saw when I was on holiday.”
“I wanted a somewhat more aggressive look,” he explained. “Green makes quite a change, as none of the other F1 drivers sports a green helmet at the moment.”

Kubica Has a Kart

Robert Kubica is still a kid at heart and has set up his own karting team.. In between public appearances and December testing he managed to find time to put the final details on his new project.
The Kubica KERS

Still miles away from the next season and the teams are putting their KERS powered cars on test tracks more and more with some reported good success. However, a few things of note are beginning to peek their heads up. First is Ferrari who have admittedly gone over budget on their KERS development in a time where cost cutting is on everyone’s minds.
