Radical BMW Sauber on Track in Barcelona

By BMWF1guy

Testing is underway for the 2009 season and started in Barcelona. It was the first look at what the new cars would look like under the new rules. Keep in mind that what we see now will still look much different at season start in Australia.

BMW Sauber offered a look at their first attempt and it is shocking. The car was by far the most radical of the bunch and includes many new concepts. After what the car looked like in 2008, this radical difference is all to analyze requirements for the new regulations. The top photo is of course the F1.08 to compare with the other photos.

Wow, that’s different!!

There are too many things different to count and I am not sure i like the smaller rear wing.

if manage to get rid of that uglky squareness of the front wing, I may end up liking it, it is definitely nice to see the front wing back down low

but the high narrow rear wing is plain ugly :-)
